There aren't hardly any roads going back in there...maybe that's why it's
considered scenic. The best I can find is Tucker Springs Rd, with the
entrance at N30.0610° W84.5215°. This should be the first road to the left
after you turn left on Curtis Mill road from Rose St (the left fork where
both forks cross the river side by side, the right fork goes to Smith
Creek). Another possibility might be to put in at city park and canoe down
to the 319 bridge - that area you saw on the map is pretty much the right
bank of the river in that section. I have no idea what makes that portion of
it scenic as I lived there for a while and never noticed anythig special,
but if you find out, please let us know.

Ah - very handy, thanks! Is this something people would find useful as a
link from paddletally.org?
Joe
BTW, a non-paddling but outdoorsy question: does anyone on this list know
how to get to the "Morrison Hammock Scenic Area" near Sopchoppy? I looked
for it a year or so ago with no luck - maybe there's a more obvious sign
now? Here's a location map:
http://www.fs.fed.us/r8/florida/local-resources/images/maps/apa/morrison.pdf
.
I hear it's a pretty spot.
